The third generation of the Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster was introduced for 2006, powered by a 2.0-liter 16-valve dual-overhead-cam 4-cylinder engine. At mid-year, a new retractable hardtop version became available for the first time. The two-piece polycarbonate power retractable hardtop took 12 seconds to raise or lower. This example was displayed at the 2007 Portland International Auto Show at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.
