The Audi R8 is a mid-engined sports car that was introduced in Europe in 2007. It would come to the United States in 2008.
It was based on the Lamborghini Gallardo and is powered by a 420-horsepower 4.2-liter dual-overhead-cam V8 engine with a six-speed transmission that can accelerate it from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of nearly 190 miles per hour.
It was priced at over $100,000. This example was displayed at the 2007 Portland International Auto Show at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.
Another Audi R8 was displayed at the 2008 Portland International Auto Show.
