At the top of the BMW ladder is the 7-series, available in 2006 as either the 750i, with the same 360-horsepower 4.8-liter double overhead cam 32-valve V8 engine used in the 550i and 650i, or the flagship 760i, with a 438-horsepower 6.0-liter double overhead cam 48-valve V12, both with a 6-speed StepTronic automatic transmission.
