2010 Ford Mustang


Ford's redeigned 2010 Mustang, the convertible version of which is shown here at the 2009 Portland International Auto Show, was scehduled to go on sale in coupe, convertible and glass-roofed hardtop versions in March 2009, after being debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2008. Every piece of the 2010 Mustang's exterior sheetmetal except the roof of the coupe is new when comapred to the 2009 model. Even the pony badge has been redesigned. Engine choices will be a 210-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 with 240 foot-pounds of torque or a 315 horsepower 4.6-liter V8 with 325 foot-pounds of torque and either a 5-speed manual or automatic. The V6 should deliver fuel economy of up to 26 miles per gallon and the V8 should accelerate the Mustang from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 5 seconds.



A three-mode stability control system is standard on all 2010 Mustangs. 17" & 18" wheels are availble on V6 Mustangs and 18" & 19" are available on V8 models. Mustang options include the voice-activated Sync 2.0 sound system interface, Sirius satellite radio, a navigvation system with an 8" screen, a spoiler-mounted backup camera and a "track-pack" consisting of a 3.73 rear axle, summer-only tires and high-performance brake pads.
