Powered by a 420-horsepower 3.6-liter dual-overhead-cam, twin-turbocharged horizontally-opposed "flat" 6-cylinder "boxer" engine with 413 foot-pounds of torque at 2,700 rpm, with either a six-speed manual or a 5-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, the all-wheel drive 911 Turbo could accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 miles per hour.
